Striving to spread the passion and Artistry of Argentine Tango in Oklahoma City

Martha and David Wells strive to spread the beauty and passion of Argentine Tango in Oklahoma City. Specializing in both Salon and Stage Tango, they emphasize technique and musicality while keeping the heart and connection that is distinctive of this dance. They have performed at many local Oklahoma events such as the Downtown Festival of the Arts, Plaza District Festival, St. Baldrick’s Cancer Fundraiser, OU Latino Flavor, OSU Miss Hispanic, and various other private and public events. In 2016, David and Martha were hired for the productions "Shades of Tango" in Dallas produced by Hugo Patyn and Celina Rotundo, and George and Jairelbhi Furlong, and "Seasons of Tango" in New Orleans produced by Carlos and Maureen Urrego. They also won 1st Place and Highest score overall in the Argentine Tango Division at The Match 2016 Dance Competition. Most recently, they were hired as teaching assistants for Celina and Hugo in the Tango festival Nora's Tango Week 2018 in San Francisco, CA. Martha and David travel the country to improve their own dance by studying with world renowned professionals, bringing innovative concepts back to their home, OKC. They teach group classes at Studio 3Sixty Entertainment Powerhouse in Warr Acres, and Shall We Dance? in Norman, as well as private instruction.
